Reservations Policy

Black Point Inn has two onsite restaurants for your dining pleasure, both with their own styles of service and atmosphere.  Both restaurants feature a Traditional American/Seafood Menu with seasonal items being added throughout our operating months.  The Breakfast Menu runs from 8am to 10am each day.  The Lunch Menu is then featured between 11:30am and 5pm daily.  Both restaurants feature a Dinner Menu which runs in The Chart Room from 5pm-8pm daily (9pm during peak summer hours) and runs in The Point from 6pm to 8pm daily.

The Chart Room

The Chart Room is Black Point Inn’s pub and is open for Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner.  Reservations are accepted for all parties by calling the Inn. Please note that reservations for The Chart Room are not accepted through OpenTable and are only accepted by calling the Inn directly at 207-883-2500. The attire in The Chart Room is casual and atmosphere is laid-back and energetic.  We do not accept requests for specific tables.

The Point

The Point Restaurant opens at 6pm each night for Dinner and is focused on every nuance of fine dining.  Reservations are accepted for all parties by calling the Inn directly or booking a table on OpenTable. We ask that our guests follow our business casual dress requirements for the evening (no jeans, no shorts, no flip flops and shirts with a collar are required).  The ambiance of The Point Restaurant is formal and quiet.  If you are dining with children, we recommend that you dine in The Chart Room, however if your preference is to dine in The Point, please reach out to our Food and Beverage Manager.  We do not accept requests for specific tables.

General Policies

While we strongly encourage reservations for both of our restaurants, we hold about 25% of our capacity for walk-in guests.  Our hosts begin accepting seating requests for walk-in guests beginning at 11:30am each day for lunch and 5pm each day for dinner.  We assign walk-in tables on a first-come, first served basis.  Upon arrival, our hosts will give an estimated availability time for seating for the next available table to walk-in guests.  While you are waiting, we encourage you to grab a drink from our full-service bar and head out to the wicker furniture on our porch or warm yourself in front of the fireplace in the lobby!

We would like our guests to keep in mind that in our busy summer season, demand for reservations is at its peak and we encourage you to please come in and ask for a walk-in table.  Most of our walk-in guests can be accommodated at some point during the course of the evening.  To inquire about current wait times, please contact our Guest Service Associates at 207-883-2500.
